Bangladesh may experience one to two moderate to severe cold waves in January.

In a long-term forecast released on Wednesday, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the western, northern, and northeastern regions are likely to face moderate to severe cold waves, while mild to moderate ones may occur in other areas.

Minimal temperature differences between day and night could enhance the feeling of cold, despite overall temperatures remaining higher than usual.
